Easter Offering Envelopes are available in our Churches this weekend.  We thank you our parishioners for your generous support throughout the year.  Easter Offering Envelopes can be returned at any of our Easter Masses.  Easter Sunday is one of only two occasions in the year, the other being Christmas day, when the Church Collection, goes to make up the income of the priests of the parish.  The collection during the rest of the year is used exclusively to meet the running and maintenance costs of the parish itself and its pastoral programmes.

Funeral Teams were introduced in the Diocese of Cork and Ross a few years ago.  This is when a number of local people are trained so that they can lead the public moments of prayer that are part of the Funeral Rites – in the Funeral Home or the home of the deceased person.  They may also assist the priests with the prayers at the end of the Requiem Mass.  A Funeral Team exists in the Harbour Parishes but more people are needed.  If you are interested, training takes place in Ovens Parish Centre on Wednesdays 24th April to 22nd May 2019.  Contact Anne Kelly,

co-ordinator on 087 9826125.
