A Community of Communities
The Harbour Parishes were established in 2005 when Passage West Parish and Monkstown Parish, incorporating Monkstown, Ringaskiddy and Shanbally, were brought together.
Our Mission Statement
We seek to be an inclusive, welcoming, caring, worshipping Christian community
in which the values and teachings of Jesus are lived, shared and celebrated.
A Ministering Community
There are a variety of gifts but always the same Spirit,
there are a variety of services but always to the same Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:4-5
We are blessed with a wonderful spirit of volunteerism in our community in which people give generously and willingly of their time and talents in a wide variety of ministries including our Sacristans, Ministers of the Word and Eucharist, our fabulous choirs, our Parish Newsletter Team, those involved in maintaining and cleaning our Churches, our Parish Assembly, our Parish Safeguarding Team, the local conference of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, our Parish Finance committees, our collectors and stewards and all those who contribute to the life of the parish in any way. We thank all those who minister in our parish in any way and we invite all those who would like to be part of the life of of our parish to contact us. We look forward to your gifts and talents enriching the life of our community.
The parish is the presence of the Church in a given territory,
an environment for hearing God's word, for growth in the Christian life,
for dialogue, proclamation, charitable outreach, worship and celebration.

In the summer of 2021 Bishop Fintan Gavin encouraged us to face some new realities and challenges.
What is the “Family of Parishes”?
Bishop Fintan restated his commitment to the formation of “Families of Parishes” in the Diocese or Cork & Ross including a re-configuration of the parishes for mission.
It describes the creation of a bond between a group of parishes in order to sustain their pastoral life. Practically this means parishioners, lay people, clergy and religious communities sharing resources, responsibilities, and ministry, strengthening our unity as one Body of Christ.
Our particular Family of Parishes includes the five Parishes of Carrigaline | Crosshaven | Monkstown | Passage West | Tracton Abbey
